APRIL 2010 - México
Taking an object (either stone or ceramic) from museums or ruins of the Yucatan Peninsula is a federal crime for which the Mexican customs inspection is very thorough. I knew this a day after having stolen a ceramic head from the house-museum of Mundaca (pirate refuge in Isla Mujeres). Culture contributing to traffic without the need to expose myself to have a criminal case, I decided to leave the head more than 100 km of the site from which I borrowed. I left it in the ruins of Tulum, on my last day at 21, after thinking about art, myself, and the year I expected.I did not film the time of the theft but the installation at the new destination.
